We collect as little as possible. This policy sets out what that means in practice.
We do not require an account, we do not sell personal information, and there is no form anywhere on this site that collects card numbers or financial data. The only personal information we handle is what you voluntarily type into the contact form.
This policy explains how TheGiftCardMall.com (“we”, “us”) handles information when you visit thegiftcardmall.com (the “Site”).
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive the name, email address, subject and message you provide. That is the entire set. We ask you not to send card numbers or financial details, and the form actively rejects messages that look like they contain a card number.
Information collected automatically
Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard server log data for each request: IP address, date and time, the page requested, HTTP status, referring URL and browser user-agent string. These logs exist for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics.
Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which guides are useful, measured in aggregate. Where analytics are in use they are configured to avoid cross-site tracking and to anonymise IP addresses where the provider supports it.
What we never collect
- Gift card numbers, PINs, security codes or expiration dates
- Bank account numbers, credit card numbers or payment credentials
- Social Security numbers or government identification numbers
- Passwords or login credentials for any service
- Precise geolocation data
- Biometric data or data from children under 13

- Delete it, subject to any legal retention obligation.

To make a request, email privacy@thegiftcardmall.com with enough detail for us to locate your information. We respond within 45 days and may extend once where permitted, with notice. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting, and an authorised agent may act for you with written permission.

We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We do not track visitors across third-party sites, so there is nothing to disable. Where a Global Privacy Control signal is received, we honour it as an opt-out request.
6. Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact privacy@thegiftcardmall.com and we will delete it.
7. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the very limited data we hold, and we minimise risk primarily by not collecting sensitive data in the first place. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This policy covers only thegiftcardmall.com. Links to official card portals, government resources and other external sites are governed by those sites' own privacy policies. Review them before providing information.
9. Visitors outside the United States
The Site is operated from and intended for the United States, and information is processed there. If you access it from elsewhere, you consent to that transfer and processing.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes are reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
